Odd Sky Printing Problem

I'm printing some pictures on a laser jet (HP4600) to test quality, and on some of the pictures where the sky is very subtly shaded (OOF clouds on pale blue sky...) they're printing in kind of bands of colour...

I'm wondering if this is a limitation of the printer and a photobook printer will be able to cope, or if I need to try and sort the sky out somehow? (Ideas welcome if so!)

BTW: Pictures all 300DPI 10x8 sRGB. Printer claims a 600DPI res...

Attached is an example of the printout (excuse the biscuit crumbs...) and the original picture is here:

Does the clouds look like this on screen?
Was this an HDR shot - I tried one the other day with PS and it made the sky do similar things to this.

Just a suggestion

It looks ok on screen so it will probably print ok. It may well be a limitation with your printer or its setup.

However, paranoia is a difficult thing to overcome, even with medication. If you want to overcome it before committing to the expense of a book, then I suggest you have some sample prints done, either online or say Tesco or wherever. Whatever size or number of samples to rid you of or confirm your paranoia. You can get a 10x8 done from Photobox for £1 + post, and obviously cheaper for smaller.
