Number plate removal

Hi guys
Just wanted to know the easiest way to remove the letters and numbers from a number plate and just make it look like a solid box of either yellow or white

Sample the number plate yellow/ whirte and simply paint over it with that colour

Ok cool thanks I meant to put using cs5 but left that part out lol but I think I've got it now anyway
