Novatech - Selling used stock as new?

Has anyone else experienced this with Novatech?

Just received a graphics card from them... the packaging inside is crumpled and damaged and there are screw marks on the back plate indicating it's been used before.

Going back tomorrow :thumbsdown:
 
Is it dusty under the fan over....if it is used (for a reasonable length of time) rather than opened and put back then it will have a lot tiny bits of dust and dirt which will give it away.
 
that's why i dont use Novatech. they buy high failure rate batches too.
 
To be fair yes they do sell secondhand gear which does get on my nerves but anytime ive had a problem (actually had a duff pc sent out to me before) they have been nothing but helpfull and proffesional, they sent me a new one out and then requested the old one back which did suprise me
 
I've just had a long running dispute with them.

I bought a cheapy Epson printer, just for everyday printing.
After using it TWCE, it registered the colour cartridge empty!
So I gave them a call, and they said bring it in for testing.

Well they had to send it back to Epson for testing, and 5 weeks later, got a cal saying there's owt wrong with it.
Which I disputed. So a very useless and horrible lady took it back for retesting, and loaned me a Kodak ESP-3 all-in-one jobby.

This was about 6-7 weeks ago!!!

Yesterday had a call from them saying to keep the Kodak :woot:
He didn't tell me why though, but who am I to question a Kodak ESP-3 for £37 :D
 
I've used Novatech since they were a two man band by Hilsea station and never had a problem. I returned some memory once and they just refunded and always seem nice enough. I guess all suppliers have their hitches; hope you get it sorted and am surprised they supplied used kit... not really on is it.
