Hi all.
A couple of months back I upgraded my Chinese phone, (6 years was not that bad)
I purchased a Nothing 3a,lovely phone, really good Camera (imo)
Anyway, here comes the catch, I tried to connect my Trusty Nikon Z8, nope, wasn't having it, Bluetooth connects then disconnects several times then gives up, WiFi just doesn't connect.

Anyone had this problem with particularly a Z8 or Nikon other Cameras?

Ps, contact with Nothing is a breeze but they say it's a Nikon problem.

Thanks in advance.
Graham

None too what to suggest (I don't use Nikon) but have run you down the checks Nikon suggests here....

I hope you can get it resolved  (y)

I had a similar problem several years back connecting my Sony to camera via WiFi - eventually found it was due to a 'network optimisation' feature on the camera, that auto checked for Internet availability when it connected to the camera WiFi - found none (as the camera provided it just to transfer images), so disconnected automatically to go look for a 'better' option.
You have a different problem, since it's Bluetooth that's disconnecting, but worth hunting in the menus for any form of connection optimisation in case it's trying to be helpful!

There's a Nikon Z thread in the main equipment section which I think would be worth posting in to get more people seeing your question.

I've had no issues connecting an Android phone to my Z8, the only similar problem I've seen recently is a friend couldn't get his Apple phone to connect over BT to his Leica Q3 because it would keep disconnecting although an Android device was fine and there was no solution for his Apple phone.

Nope but I will when I have 5mn. Thanks for the link.
I actually mixed up what I said, it was WIFI that would connect and disconnect then completely drop out and Bluetooth, absolutely nothing.
Now I got the WIFI working, I opened the camera WiFi settings and changed the wp3 or whatever it was to "OPEN".
Still nothing for Bluetooth.
No help really as Snapbridge only works with Bluetooth.

I had a look, opened all phone APP permissions, all OK.

Thanks John.
My last Chinese Android phone had absolutely no problems so I got to keep trying.
