I'm changing employers at midnight tonight under an outsourcing agreement so have been a bit on edge recently as you can imagine. There's a bit of cash come my way as part of the deal to help ease the pain, so today on the spur of the moment (and with the blessing of SWMBO) I went out and bought myself a D700!

It's one hell of an upgrade that's for sure, Jessops agreed to price match Jacobs at £1699 so not too bad - can't wait to get out there and take some pics. Just need a 24-70mm now to compliment my 70-200mm VR :D, having said that my 50mm Sig f/1.4 feels a much better length for indoor portraits, it felt a little long on the D80, so one happy boy on all counts.
