Not much talking on Talk Photography

I am fairly new here and so I do not know what the seasonal volume of posts is like and the impact of the pandemic on that. It seems to me that the volume of new posts is very low right now. Is that normal?

It changes a lot from day to day . However I have noticed a drop on many forums at the moment. Perhaps people are taking advantage of the relaxing of covid regs to some extent and doing other things. However Talk Photography is one of the more active ones.
FujiX-Forum which is one of the more international ones, is also rather quiet at the moment, so who can tell? even the Amateur Photographer Lounge is quiet.
Maybe people are out there taking Photographs?

I would say that 30 threads having had some activity in the past hour isn't exactly buzzing - however, it's a Saturday Morning in the uk, where the bulk of members are based, we're now able to get out and about a little more, so all the "early riser shooting" guys will still be out and about rather than on here or posting between doing their PP work,

Its fair to say though that the extended lockdowns and inability to get out and about shooting in the countryside / hills / mountains / seaside has probably put a little crimp in some of our photo-mojo's - I can certainly say it has in my case - though personally it's compounded by working for the NHS and having been regularly working upwards of 80 hour weeks...

but, as Terry said - I think his forum is faring at least as well, if not better than most fora that I frequent...

  • Macs are rubbish. Why bother buying something expensive when you can get the same with an ugly plastic box. (posted whilst stroking the latest Canon/Nikon/Sony FullFrame piece of bling)

Moved to a chat section rather than a photo sharing section.

4 out of 5 isn't bad (y)

  • Lager is for people who don't like beer.

I realised I should have put this earlier, with the greengrocers apo’strophe that PC’s put into text. :p

Aye, BoJo humped an absolute munt -a real 9 pint and paper bag special, Hancock humps a solid 8.
Is that a solid 8 pinter or a solid 8? (I've never seen her so no idea haha)

A thread can become busy, if you do reply often to it. ;)

OP last seen 57 minutes ago, viewing thread Not much talking on Talk Photography.

Not sure if you've noticed it but under forums is 'new posts', click on that a few times a day and there are generally quite a few.

Well, Jon, I post almost every day a comment, a critique or an image. In addition, I do give likes etc. I just do not enjoy a monologue

Oh hiya, well you have a nice little thread on the go now. ;) (y)

With the weather being reasonable, and being a Saturday, it is possibly a little slower on here, as already mentioned above.
But there are a good few who will drop by and engage in conversation.

I mainly post poop, but even I can manage to get a reply or two.

So get posting something controversial to get a good reply, but nothing that will get you banned. ;)
