I have a Fuji X20 compact which I carry when I am riding my motorcycle but when I was getting things ready to go out today, the Lithium Ion battery was flat - Dead like a parrot. The viewfinder was misty, almost blurred and no amount of focussing the finder made any improvement. I changed the batter for a fully charged one and all was clear again.
I know some Nikon AF film cameras and all Digital SLR's with flat batteries have a dark screen, but I never thought it would affect a direct vision finder.
I have checked the quite comprehensive book of destructions and can find no mention of this effect happening as a result of a flat battery. Has anyone else noticed this effect.
