Today was time for a long overdue visit to my Kingfisher location ,mainly to do a bit of planning in hope of getting some shots.
I duly sat hiden on the bank with binoculars to watch the birds going about their busy behaviour .
Having watched the birds i spotted one in the distance perched looking like it was its fishing spot,i picked up my binoculars and and got the strap caught round the foot of my mud boot .thats when i lost control and tried to grab them before they went rolling down the bank and in the river ,i jumped down the bank in the river in hope to grab them out, not realising that we have had some rain overnight and ended up wet to the waist ,it was not as easy getting out as it was to get in,but to top it all off i emptied my my mud boot turned it upside down to empty it and i lost control of that and watched it go sailing down the river , a good 3/4 of a mile to the car wet through with just one mud boot on was slightly embarrasing and a good pair of binoculars doomed to the river bed...My wife did find it amusing though
