As a member of a pretty large (40+) club I'm staggered at how few actually want to go out shooting stuff :(

Is anyone up for meets in the Northwest? Maybe get our own little group of shooters going?

Primarily Landscapes & Seascapes :)

I'm in and I know there are quite a few people on here from the area but I guess a lot of people like to venture out on their own?

I'm sure they do, but in my previous Yorkshire clubs it was the joint meets that really made it special

Often they were very last minute too - I once posted in an afternoon about a shoot 'tonight' and 14 people turned up !!!

In Lancaster now, we rarely get 3 even with a week or two's notice, and most often its NONE :(

I'm kinda hoping that with (how many thousands of members does TP have now?) so many members a decent few will be happy to meet up occasionally :)

Put me down as a maybe, I remember back in the early days of the forum, there were meets at Bolton Abbey, Blackpool and Liverpool I went to.

Always good for day out and a chat!

Awesome - that's probably enough of us to consider TP setting up a Group or something? @sirch ?
Not sure what you think I can do beyond this thread? The way these things usually go is you suggest a few options for time and date, a load of people say they can't make that date because they are washing their lens cap or they don't like that place but suggest that we meet in Bournemouth on Easter weekend or something :)

Seriously see:

I'll put up a notice if you like

It's a bit like herding cats! BUT, even if it's only 2 or 3 people meeting up, it's a good way to put faces to "voices" and a good excuse to get out and about with a couple of like minded individuals. And a pub lunch!!!

If I was a couple of hundred miles closer, I'd be up for it but it's a long way up there from the bottom of the M5!

Yeah - I'm in a fairly large camera club, and whenever I suggest a meet to go shoot stuff hardly anyone wants to go :(

I've never know a bunch of togs so unwilling to photograph stuff lol

How about meeting up for the Morecambe Kite Festival on Sunday the 20th of July?

Its very limiting if that's all you come for, and frankly its a bit crap too

How about a Blackpool meet later this month instead? Various things to shoot and I can check tide times if anyone fancies some long exposure sea flattening?

On the forum meet-up from the past, we used to get, I reckon around a dozen maybe.
