Looking like something culled from "Dr Strangelove" and "War Games" this site http://map.ipviking.com purports to show all major cyber attacks all over the world in real time:

It also gives the attackers (including their IP address) and the attacked - quite fascinating to watch.

One of my colleagues pointed out there's seomthing dubious about it. There's an Island shown East of Argentina that's shown as origin for a good portion of attacks, but it's not on the submarine cable map. Are they attacking via satellite?

It was yesterday too. Either it is a major telecoms hub in the US that most of the major carriers go through (they cannot tell geographically where each IP is with certainty - mine alwasy appears to be where my ISPs main offices are) or it could be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Air_Force_Base. Apparently houses the headquarters of this lot:
