YN460 arrived today, just in time for photgraphing the Rali LLyn road rally saturday night, But it doesn't work :razz::thumbsdown:

So I'm now going to be stuck with just the 1 flash, and I can't decide now whether to use it on or off camera.

I doubt very much whether it's going to be able to cover the area I need on it's own.

Anyone tried photographuin gmoving cars at night with a single YN560?

You put batteries in the right way round?

My 460 is sometimes temperamental, and freezes if you change its mode after changing the power lever. have to pop the batteries out to reset it.

Lights up, power adjusts, mode adjusts, charges and goes green, but will not fire. Press the pilot and the charging sound stops as it's firing but there's no light output at all, same on camera. Tried on 3 different sets of batteries just in case. It's as dead as they come.

It fires in no modes whatsoever or on any triggerng means. It would have been by wireless triggers at the rally.

No but I have emailed the seller

To be fair I onloy bought it to put in the firing line as I wouldn't shed a tear if a sideays mk2 escort was to send it flying.

Well try the slapping and swearing thing, it's just like your dad used to do when the TV broke when you were younger (cept he left a greasy handprint on the screen).

Well I got a full refund and been told to keep the flash! In that case may as well have a go at repairing it!
