Nonce on the run?

Teach the Yanks to do it properly next time wont it.

As the Americans are not exactly pro extraditing people to anywhere else in the world, a prime example being a catholic priest who was supplying bomb making equipment, who was apparently wanted for a 'Political crime', so that was refused. Mine you that was before terrorism existed, ie pre 9/11!

Funny how funding for the boyos across the water all but dried up when it was pointed out that they (the USofA) were financially supporting a terrorist organisation...

Oh they kept on donating right up to 9/11, which is obviously the day terrorism was invented. After which there was a bit of shuffling of feet and not much said. Personally, I think as we have a Global War on terrorism, we should have invaded New York.

We have also failed to extradite when the whim takes us.

I feel outraged that a country like Poland won't extradite a convicted P**** to the US. It's a terrible crime and he is walking free.
It is an absolutely terrible crime. However shouldn't they issue and extradition request ;) so that they can legally pickup the person? And shouldn't they get the request in order.

It comes across as lazy work by the Americans. Get their act in order and they may get the result they want.

Quoting the article

Mr Martyniuk said Polanski's extradition was still possible, but as the US had not yet forwarded an extradition request, Polanski "is a free citizen and is free to travel".

At what point has Poland said they won't extradite him?

If it wasn't Polanski it wouldn't even be on the news radar.
