I regularly shoot weddings and choose on the whole to use high quality jpeg for the reportage photographs, whilst opt for RAW with the posed shots.
One thing I have found is that the RAW images are incredibly noisy compared to the jpeg photographs. I use a smigin of noiseware to reduce the noise on the photographs, but feel this can have an impact on the overall sharpness of the finished product.
I am currently using CS4 to edit the wedding photographs.
Does anyone have any tips which can be used to reduce the noise of the images without losing the overall sharpness of the image?
Your advice on this would be massively appreciated.
Thanks. Tom. x
