No chance, not in a year of Sundays.

Not even worth a look - sorry. I've tried it once when I was a tiny 9 stone nothing and didn't like the crawls and I had loads of space compared to some.

Went caving/pot holing 2 or 3 times in my yoof & wasn't too keen then, there's no way I'd even contemplate anything that confined these days. :crying:

I've been down one cave near Horton in Ribblesdale. As it was my first time I did not know what it would be like but I really enjoyed it. However, it was with experienced cavers who knew they had novices with them.

This is a different league and it is scary just to watch. This is almost on a par with cave diving.

I've been through the first part of Sudwala and Cango Caves in SA, but they're pretty open, with a couple of short sections where you have to stoop. No problem, but I'm slightly claustrophobic and I couldn't handle the Crystal Tour or the Adventure Tour (Cango). My daughter and a friend did the latter when they were teenagers and, from what I can gather, scampered through the tight bits like the skinny, energised, stick insects they were at 14 - 15!

Carlswalk Cavern? No...

That is the stuff of nightmares

I'm not scared of much but I wouldn't do that

I'd jump out of a plane, I'd climb sheer rock faces, I'd train surf on a 125, but jamming myself in an underground rock hole in the Dales ain't never gonna happen.....ever

Can't say as I would want to do it every week, but looks like it would be interesting enough every now and then.
Spent some time working in manholes and other underground structures, one was particularly cramped.

The guys we went down with near Horton in Ribblesdale were superb. They put us through a couple of squeezes (but nothing like this video) and got us to climb up the side of a small underground waterfall.

They also said a few weeks previous they had been called to help two people out of the same cave. The couple had gone in with just a torch which went out when they dropped it in the water.

Luckily some of their friends knew where they had gone.

I get the heebie jeebies just looking into my under stairs cupboard to read the meter.

That made me feel disturbed , I only managed a couple of minutes :help::exit:

Me too,i have had nightmares of being in such tight spaces and trying to crawl out,i wonder if it was to do with,as kids we used to take it in tyrns to lie on the gras, then be civered over with a carpet,my fruends would then cover it with objects ,then when guven the sugnal you had to fight your way out,it was scary as a kid.
Also from one park to another a quarter a mile away or more a stream went underground and you coukd follow it almost standing as a small kid but halfway through it was scary as you dudnt know how much further it was.

As an adult i found myself in kensington tube walkway and i had a panic attack in that.

I have done the beginners experience at cheddar gorge, and thoroughly enjoyed it, there are a couple of tight spots to test you, but it is a route used several times a day and I would recommend it a “give it a go” experience. My sister gave it a go at another time and despite it being well outside her comfort zone she enjoyed it as well.

done some caving years ago during my climbing and diving phase and it was fun but could be hard work.
ratty old wet suits and old style caving hats and battery packs, once did a sump swim through as well only a couple of feet but wow such a rush.
