No body's perfect with Rankin and Alison Lapper

I recorded it, might watch tonight.

Anyone else watch this last night?

Good choice of photographer, Rankin had a way of pulling out the best from the subjects. Some of the images were just brilliant

I watched it, thoroughly enjoyable it was too.
I thought all the portraits were superb. What he drew out of the subjects and how he portrayed them in their portraits plus their reaction to them was very inspiring.
I think Alison Lapper was the star of the show though, her attitude to life over adversity is very humbling.

I'm glad they showed how she was driving the car. I couldn't work it out in the first shot.

Thought provoking and really interesting, well worth watching/

For those that missed it and cannot access the iPlayer: No Body's Perfect with Rankin and Alison Lapper will be broadcast on Thursday 17 November at 00:00 GMT on BBC Four.

Just watching it now.

The first few times I saw Rankin on TV I considered him a right w****r. Watching him work I have the utmost respect for him as a portrait photographer. Brilliant!

Funny thing - I thought the same.
Maybe it's wanting to be known by a single word name that I thought was a bit pretentious.
He comes across in the programme as being a really nice guy who knows how to put people at ease and get the best from them when taking their photo.

Thanks for the link :)

Rankin did well. Good strong pictures.

Envious of that great big studio, always with an assistant or three to hold the light/reflector/wind-machine.

A former colleague of mine left earlier our company this year to be Post Production Director for Rankin. To say he was pleased with getting the job would be a massive understatement.
