Hi,

I just got a Nissin di866 mark ii. It works fine in TTL mode but I can't get it to work in M or AV. I have tried it on 2 cameras a 5d MKi an a 1DMKiiN but nothing. A couple of times, just after I changed from TTL to M it fired off a couple of shots but than stopped.

Any Ideas?

Mine did this during a shoot last weekend (luckily I have a backup!). Again worked in TTL but not M.

I went in to M and changed things like zoom to manual and other things like that, tested it and it worked fine, put them back to auto and it still worked fine... So try this as a first point of call

Thanks Andy,

I did try this but still nothing. I will bring it back tomorrow and see what they say.

I got it as a backup to a 580 so it is not that important.

Not sure how old your Di866 is, but I have two and never had a problem. They are firmware upgradable, so you might want to look into that..
