Nikon TC-20E AF-I, AF-S Teleconverter HELP

HI all i want to get in to macro and was going to get nikon 105mm vr then i read that if i used a TC-20E AF-I, AF-S Teleconverter on my 70-200vr i would have a perfect macro lens is this right?

Not perfect at all, but it would focus closer thats for sure.

You won't have a macro lens with that combo, you'd be better off using a Canon 500D screwed into the front of your 70-200mm VR, it's not a true macro but a very useful piece of kit.
