Hi Guys and Gals,
This may have been covered somewhere before but thought I would give it a mention as found really useful.
Have a Nikon D3 and wanted to have a go at shooting tethered straight into lightroom. On investigating unlike Canons free software you need to buy Nikons camera control software at around £ 125 which seems a costly option, so decided to have a web search and found DIYphotoBits 4.0.
http://www.diyphotobits.com/download-diyphotobitscom-camera-control/
Its a free bit of software that allows you to use the main controls for the camera like isa, shutter speed etc etc when connected with the USB lead, also it will link images taken straight into any folder on the laptop, so just set lightrooms auto import to look in that folder and they pop straight up in libary.
Hope this helps anyone thinking of trying tethered out with a Nikon camera,
All the Best
