need an emergency flash for this weekend, normally use the sb900 but its knackerd!
For a small amount of money saved compared to the sb900 is it worth buying?
 
I have one and am more than impressed. Okay, it's not quite as powerful (speaking guide number) as the 600 or 900 models, but it recycles a lot quicker apparently and doesn't heat up anywhere as much as the 900. Plenty of videos on youtube!
 
i`ve got one and i`m very happy with it, easy to use and does everything i want it to do
 
I looked at one when my SB600 died day before I needed it (always good to check the equipment), I went out thinking the SB700 but walked out with the SB900. As you say it is only a little bit more.
