Yes it is, but the YN-460 has the added attraction of being able to use it as an optical flash, so you can trigger it remotely from another flash, the sb600 will only do that from another nikon flash in commander mode. This can be most annoying.
I got the YN467 as I can't afford a SB-600. Has TTL, manual and 2 slave modes. Can't do wireless TTL (CLS) though, but at £50 new I can't really complain.
hmm well I need something that I can control wirelessly and cheap since I've never used a flashgun. how are the yongnuos quality-wise? Would a Nissin Di622 suit me better?

I have no experience of the Yongnuos, but I have just this week received my Di622.
It is really impressive for the money and I'm pleased I didn't spend more on the SB600 just yet. Only a couple of times had a bad exposure (compared to the Jessops supposedly Nikon TTL gun I used before). Recharge time is a little slow after a full power shot. Decent build quality.
Only thing I have noticed is that with my D90 popup flash in command mode, you have to fire a shot off with the Di622 slave more squarely in frame than if I were firing it in TTL mode.
