Yes
I seem to have a problem with my Nikon D600.

I found that the lens mount was stiff in mounting lenses, the camera was not opening up the aperture to full for focusing and my 24mm D and 50mm non-G primes showed an fEE error for the aperture.

I bit of investigation showed that the lens mount was skewed with respect to the body. This would suggest that it has been dropped but I don't know when although the last time I used it it was with the 70-300mm zoom. I have tightened the screws holding the mount and now when mounting a lens I at least get full aperture for focusing but the mount is still stiff and my focus ring lenses show an error.

So, I guess it needs professionally fixing. Any recommendations for a UK based repair centre?

Plus Nikon HQ, Kingston.

These are the only Nikon authorised centres in the UK.

I know that there are only three and have seen somewhere that Nikon UK farms out the repair of some equipment to some of these.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience that might suggest one was better (or worse) than the others.

All you really need to do is remove the mounting ring and flatten it... It still has "a wave" in it from where it bent. I would suggest getting the proper JIS type screwdriver if you don't have one, and a tiny bit of lightweight locktite on the screws when reinstalling... otherwise they *will* come loose again.

Ooh, thanks for that. That is an interesting idea - hadn't thought I could do anything about it myself. Might give that a go and report back.
