So at the start of July i had a bit if a disaster with my camera equipment when the zip on my backpack busted and everything hit the ground. Thankfully i had it insured with my house insurance who have long since replaced the two lenses i broke and authorized Nikon to fix my camera (d750) they have had my camera going on 3.5 weeks when i track the repair its says they are waiting on parts for the job. Has anyone else had to wait this long for a repair from Nikon or am i being very impatient?

I should probably say the camera only needs a replacement lcd screen as there was a small crack on the bottom corner.

I dropped mine and it took 3 weeks to repair last month. I have another issue at the moment so it's been in the last two days so far...

By all accounts they were inundated, presumably with all of the recalls.

So it does take this length of time......... i was a bit disappointed when the tracking estimated date of repair changed from the 8/8/15 to waiting for parts.

Well my D750 went back this week for the mirror shading issues. Guess i shouldn't expect to see it back anytime soon. Guess I'll have to slum it with either the D810 or my OMD-EM1 in the meantime :D

Nikon have been sluggish in some respects recently and rapid in others, this time of the year it all goes to pot, even for NPS members, the guys who work there do their best but honestly they don't get the support from head office imho, wimbledon is on and all the nps guys are out chasing balls.

Clearly there are no other sorts of professional photographers in their NPS :P

Just asking so dont shoot me,do they deal with problems that are there fault quicker than user caused problems.

Is it worth a phone call to them to see if there is / will be a further delays or is it just waiting for 1 part and then everything is done ready to come back to you ?
