just set up both a d90 and a d80 to take remote images using ca mera control pro...it wont read the images. the pc acknowledges the camera but the program just keeps saying no camera found.

we are using a small usb to large usb cable as supplied. maybe we need a different cable. we have used a d60 and it works. any idea anyone...:thinking:
 
Have you set the correct USB mode?
 
as far as we we know we have.....can someone post the correct settings in case we have them wrong
 
There are two modes if I remember, sorry not got manual with me. One mode makes the camera appear as an external drive the other connects to other devices. I might have all this wrong but I think I am right and it would explain the problem....... Will download the manual.
 
No mention of it in the D700 manual so it might have been the IXUS that had the to modes......
 
goto menu spanner icon and goto USB. Press right arrow, you will get mass storage and MTP/PTP. click onto that and press OK. When you unplug dont forget to go back to USB. Good luck ;)
