My nikon d750 have been with Fixation for more that 3 months now. All this time they have been waiting for a part from nikon. A month ago I was told the part appear to be back in stock now. But since then still no news.
Anybody else has issue sourcing nikon part at the moment?

I've been hearing rumours on some sites that Nikon are pulling support from former 'Nikon-Approved' dealers and repair shops and that stuff will have to go back to Japan in the future... Those were in the US though...

It's really poor I find. Fixation says that they have no idea about which part they will get and when. I have now moved to another system and I am glad I did because if not I would have been without a camera for more than 3 months. Seem crazy to me, it took two weeks to agree on a quote with them to finally be told that they don't have the parts and keep me with no news since. Every month I call to be told that there is still no news. I can pull it out but then I have no other option to get it fixed.

I have my 400mm f2.8 VR on with Nikon UK. I only recently purchased it and the VR units gone. Fingers crossed it’ll be back next week but we shall see.

My camera is finally ready for delivery (sent 10 may - ready 23 august)
I don't know what I was expecting but I would recommend anyone to think twice before sending a camera for repair.

To open the camera and do anything inside there is a rate of over £300. My camera has a sticking button. Looking at it would cost £300.

I decided not to bother with that but still get a little tidy up and sensor clean (the sensor cleaning on its own is £66).
I agreed on a quote of £94 for this tidying up (sensor clean plus missing rubber replaced).

I would have had to pay £30 if decided not to do anything.

After months of having my camera, I finally got an email to say that the camera is ready which I paid without a question, only relieved that the camera is finally ready. A couple of days later I can now see that £112 has been taken off my account because there is £18 for delivery which was neither mentioned on the quote or while taking my bank detail for payment.

I stick with using Nikon UK for my service and repair. I have found their prices similar to fixation, however, I have not been charged extra for shipping and was given a discount due to delay plus an extended service warranty - I can't complain about that!
