Hi all,
So I have downloaded Nikon Studio NX and all registered. I saw online, after dabbling with a Fuji system, that Nikon are also now providing "recipe" files to alter how an image looks from camera. I found a few free ones I liked and saved to the PC. Using the online Nikon website for Nikon Studio NX online help, I imported them to Nx. Then I formatted a memory card in the ZfC and placed it into a card reader on the desktop, before then exporting said "recipe" NP3 files to the memory card.

Thinking this was it, as I had followed the steps perfectly, I placed the memory card back in the camera, went to "manage picture control" in the menu and clicked on "Load/Save" followed by "Copy to Camera".

I am greeted with a message saying "No picture control file found on the memory card"

The Nikon Nx software wrote the files into a folder on the root area of the card called "Nikon" and then to a folder called "CustomPC"

With the memory card back in the desktop card reader, I can see the files, so I know they're on the card!

Can anyone help please with where I am going wrong?

Thanks

Been a while since I had Nikon but try importing the files to the root of a memory card (Not NX) and try that.

Most of the Nikon bodies that support importing picture controls support the NCP files; but many do not support the "flexible color" which I believe are the NP3 versions (or can be). Although NP3 are supposed to be compatible with the Zf, it requires at least FW version 2.0 for flexible color support.

To make sure the camera finds the files makes sure you put the card in the #1 slot, or only insert one card. The folder format is correct, but I don't know if it's mandatory... putting them directly in the root folder could also help.
