Nikon kit 18-105 change to 18-200 worth doing?

Hi Folks,

As a general walk around lens, is it worth the cost to upgrade from the kit 18-105 f/3.5-5.6G to a 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G VRII? Is the image quality much better to justify the cost to change.

Camera is a D7000 and I already have Tam 17-50 f2.8 for general use.

What else should I consider?

Any opinions appreciated.

Personally and from experience I wouldn't. I was never blown away with the IQ of the 18-200mm and would be rather recommend saving for a 70-200 or even 80-200mm.

Agree. I would rather get an 85mm or a 70-300 vr depending on what u shoot.
