I bought one of the above when my Nikon battery was recalled by Nikon in 2005/6. It was about £10 and worked perfectly well, still going strong now and holds a charge as good as the original.

When you say "imitation" do you mean a 3rd party battery masquerading as the genuine article?
I bought a "genuine" battery for my D60, which was a counterfeit (the hologram was different, as was the silver print on the surface). It actually works well tbh.
I spotted the fake immediately, but a lot of buyers didn't.
I bought what I thought was a genuine Nikon battery ,
From Ebay.
The holograms look wrong,and
It doesn`t charge in my charger.
Im not putting it in my camera.
No responce yet from the seller !
If you need excellent batteries at much lower prices than original BUT are one of the worlds best try www.duraceldirect.co.uk I always use them and they are guaranteed to last longer than original equipment
