Nikon Equivalent to the Canon 85 1.8?

I've seen some fantastic images from the Canon 85mm 1.8 and I know that it's rated pretty highly. Sadly I'm a Nikon user and I can't seem to find an equivalent nikon lens that will focus on my D3100. The only nikon option is the 85mm AF-S f/1.4G but that costs a fortune! So does a Nikon version of this lens exist and if not, is there a possibility that Nikon will release an AF-S version of the old 85 1.8?

I'm sure an af-s version of the 85mm f/1.8 will be on the cards, shouldn't take Nikon more than another 10 years or so, going on past form

I had a play with a friend's 50 AF 1.8 and I really couldn't stand manual focus, all my pictures came out slightly OOF.

Not a fan or Canon's ergonomics!

How bout a Sigma 85mm 1.4 ?
About £699 and nrly as good as the Nikon by all acoounts i have read

If you do decide to try manual focus again, the Samyang 85mm f/1.4 is incredibly sharp wide open and cheap at about £270 new.
