I would like to get a second DSLR to use as a remote camera for wide angle wildlife stuff. Previously I had kept a D7200 for this but it felt the camera wasn’t being enough to warrant keeping for this single purpose. I’ve decided I would like to try again but want something as cheap as possible.
Currently I’m thinking a D7000 would be the most sensible option as it takes the same battery as the D810 I use and has the dual aperture/shutter speed dials I’m used to. Having no experience of the D3xxx or D5xxx series cameras im not sure if any of these are possibilities (I’ve only discounted the D3400 as it doesn’t have a plug in remote cable socket- D3200 & D3300 seem to have them. Not sure if it’s missing on any D5xxx models). I will most likely be going second hand as it’s best bang for buck. Budget is a cheapest as possible but I’m think of trying to stay around £200 only. I’m looking at body only too.
Any help would be very appreciated.
