Hey all
As some of you may know im very close to getting the Nikon D90 but im a bit stuck.
My D60 is on ebay which I have to sell to go towards the D90 but I dont think Im going to get the price I need unless I include the kit lens (18-55mm) but then Im without a wide angle lens for landscapes etc.Sooooo can anyone recomend a cheap wide angle that I could get that would go well with the D90 until I can afford something better ?
Thanks all
Joe

I'm on the same route..............

plan to sell a D40 with the kit 18-55 GII

I have a superb price quoted for new D90 body - dont know if I can quote/link here but you can PM me

then a 18-55mm AF-S *VR* from Bristol Cameras "was" listed at £105

then a Tamron 70-300 from Jessops at £170....£99 at Christmas....:bonk:

HTH......cheers...

I'd try and keep the 18-55. I can't think of anything cheaper that I would consider 'wide'.
You might get a 28-80 a bit cheaper or a 28-100.

Ive got the D90 with the 18-105mm kit lens so I can now sell the D60 with the 18-55mm lens. I love finance

:D.......where did you finally get the D90 ?....price ?

now, as i understand it, you have a "prolonged" session with the manual....

Hello John
I got it from Jessops for 799.99, not the cheapest but I wanted it so bad and thats the only way I didnt have to wait for it to be delivered.I get the £60 cash back from Nikon too.
Im with the manual now :-)
Luckily I read alot of the D60 manual so Im just reading up on the extras that D90 has got

I went from D40 to a D90 about six months ago and the 18-105 on the D90 is a really good versatile stock lens for landscapes. The 18-55 on the D40 was a great lens too.

I found the VR on the D90 else to be really handy, I don't think there was VR on the D60 stock lens, certainly not on the D40 stock lens I had.
