Nikon D80 + 50mm 1.8 lens

Hi Guys,

I've recently bought a Nikon D80 with a 18-135 lens.

I've added the well praised Prime 50mm AF 1.8D lens.
With the D80 do I manually select the 1.8-22 settings?
What is the aperture lock?
I adjust the 0.45 to Infinity as required?
What do I need to do?

sorry, basic stuff but poor instructions with the lens for a novice.

set the lens on f22 then move the sliding switch (tiny thing by the f2.8 marker so the orange dots align. This will lock the lens on f22 and the camera will control the aperture....lens will autofocus on your d80

Only if you plan to focus manually.
