When using the D750 Aperture setting, I notice when adjusting the shutter the iso changes as well, just not sure how to stop this happening, I like to mainly use Manual, but would like the option of using Aperture priority and
being able to adjust iso independently.

You shouldn’t be able to change shutter speed in Aperture priority. Are you sure you’re not changing ISO which then makes shutter change accordingly?

The D750 has manual ISO, auto ISO and easy ISO, I can’t remember what easy ISO is tbh.

Edit: Actually thinking about it the easy ISO automatically turns a control dial into an ISO dial ie when in A priority one dial will be aperture and the other iso. I think you have this set which would confirm my suspicions above in that you’re changing ISO so the camera is automatically changing shutter to keep the exposure correct.

I would imagine that you have ISO set to auto. I don't know this camera but there must be a menu setting for ISO or perhaps an ISO button.

I don’t think so, as I mentioned above you can’t change shutter in Aperture priority so he must be manually changing ISO which then makes the camera change the shutter (y)

Thanks John & Snerkler.
It appears that the easy iso was set to on, which as said turns the shutter into iso adjust, when turning this off all works as normal.
Still trying to get my head around the many settings.
Grateful for the help.

I was about to say it’s likely to be set to easy iso. Easy ISO in aperture priority sets the ‘aperture’ rotational dial (whether that’s the front or rear dial depends how you have set them up in the menu) to change ISO. In shutter priority it will be the shutter rotational dial that changes ISO. In manual mode the two rotational dials will stay as shutter and aperture.

I used to use easy iso when I had nikon cameras. When I wasn’t using manual mode with auto iso I used to like easy iso as it was so much easier to change than press the iso button and rotate a dial. To be honest I was probably using auto iso most of the time as the iso performance on the D750 was fantastic (only time I didn’t was for landscapes where you really want bass iso). The D750 was probably my favourite camera I’ve ever had.
