I want to buy a Nikon D7000. I found a site where I can purchase a new body for £588 yet if I go on Ebay I've seen them advertised as high as £2500. These must be con merchants.

Panamoz are even cheaper with their 5% discount for bank transfers..

Yep, fleabay has a few con merchants... last time I looked you could buy a D2x for about £2500 and although that was probably its RRP back in 2006 when it was released, why anyone would pay that these days is beyond me....

Panamoz seem to be getting good reports and Amazon usually have a few deals too.

Try www.camerapricebuster.com for UK-spec prices...

Just got a second hand D7000 body for £540 including Delivery from ebay. Its in great condition too. Hope this helps.

I bought my d7000 brand spanking new of Amazon for £700.

Have to say that after owning it for a couple of months now it really has impressed me, very responsive and well built, fits in my hand perfectly as apposed to the NEX7 I had previously which I had to pick up with tweezers.

I'm certainly going to try my hardest to keep the nikon set up, every time something new comes out I get an impulsive urge to sell up my current kit and buy into a new system - I'm having these thoughts about the new Fuji X-E1, but I know it won't be as versatile as my Nikon and certainly won't be as fast (plus I already own the X100). I think I'm going to stop reading about new gear, after I have bought the nikon 85 1.8g that I would like for some candid street type stuff :D

Would anyone be silly enough to buy at that price? I couldnt get on with the D7000 grip - must have funny shaped fingers lol! So went for a Pentax.

Nikon has a great feature set though.
