Hi
Have the kit as above. The flash is a new thing for me and I am trying to get to grips with as much of it as I can.
One of the things I like is the rear curtain type flash, where it keeps the ambient light behind a subject as well as the subject itself.
My issue is, when the camera is in Aperture Priority mode, the camera will only let me choose SLOW REAR flash not just REAR. It shows just REAR while I am holding the flash button down but as soon as I let go the readout changes to SLOW REAR. This then gave me a setting of F8 with an eight second exposure!!!!!!!!!! This was in my lounge with enough light to easily warrant 1/80 sec exposure at the slowest.
When I changed the camera to manual, it changed to REAR only. I left the aperture at F8 and gave it a shutter speed of 1/80 of a second and it worked perfectly. Perfect exposure, everything.
So why won't it let me do this in Aperture priority mode.???? If using F8 it should have given me a shutter speed comparative to that. I assume the Slow Rear is affecting it in some way.
Does anyone have any ideas, as I am being told what I achieved in Manual mode should be the same in any mode I choose. Most of what I do is in A mode.
