Nikon D700 and Capture NX

Does any one have an idea why I cannot open photos taken with a D700 in Capture NX. The same CF card used in a D300 opens fine.

what version do you use , if you dont have the latest it may not be compatable. you may be able to update or upgrade

I've Nikon Capture NX & a D700 & it opens my images ok.... I've V1.3 - 23092 spm version 1.2.0 if that helps you out..

Thanks for the replies guys. Tried to update the software but it just wont at the moment, not sure why. Just have to do it all in Photoshop at the minute.

I'm pretty sure you will need Capture NX2 - I got the upgrade version about a year ago - it's a lot cheaper than buying NX2 from scratch. The trial version of NX2 can be used for 30 days I think and then you simply enter the NX2 upgrade key followed by the key from NX.

You can open D700 files in View NX2 (free) and do quite a lot of what NX2 does.
