Fab camera, not made of sugar so what does that matter?

Should be pretty cheap now though, and probably best to get a pro sensor clean as part of the deal

Great camera. Used one at work a few times. One of Nikons best cameras for IR work as the hotmirror isn't stupidly efficient like most of the newer models.

IF and only IF you can afford the difference :rules:the D200 is far better and worth the extra p.s :canon:

D70 - excellent tool!
I have a D200 and a D70s.
I use the D200 for weddings and higher end work but the D70 is used all the time for event imaging - parties and the like.
I am cyurrently shooting upwards of 500 shots a night at "A night in Bancock" in Milton Keynes.

It is much lighter than the D200 so when you have on your neck for 6 hours at a time it is more bearable. Battery life is phenomenal one battery lasts all nght which would not be the case with the D200.

6mp is fine for most work including weddings so dont be swayed by the "need" for more pixels.

As many are swayed ,you will find loads of little used D70s's on eBay so go for it. I hope you dont get one of mine that has done 800 shots a night for 3 weeks though!

Sorry forgot. Body is polycarbonate but it feels the same outside as the metal D200 just a lot lighter.
Poly is no problem - it bounces better than metal and there are no moving parts to wear like in a film camera.
