Good evening all.
I am thinking of trading my D80 and two Sigma f2.8 lenses up for a Nikon D600. I have four AIs lenses ,a 24, a 50, a 105 and a 135.How do you think these will perform on a D600.

Cheers david

Hi, I use a number of "Nikkor AIs" lenses on my D800 professionally with superb results so you should have no problem whatsoever with them on a D600.

Of course you"ll only be able to use them in Aperture Priority or Manual modes and you'll lose the 1.5 times extra reach you get with your D80. Hope this helps.

Cheers for your reply,Ii still use the mentioned lenses on my FM2n and fnf them superb. The 105mm is of the best lenses made plus Nikon AF lenses price wise are too expensive for me.My interest mainly is portraits and nice old buildings.Love the work of Sir Simon Marsden so hope to produce work like his.

Hi, One of the Nikkor AIs lenses that I use on my D800 is also the 105mm 2.5 and it is probably as sharp as any lens that I have used, another of my favorites is the 55mm 2.8 Micro without a doubt this lens is superb on FF digital.
