'To Celebrate Nikon UK's new partnership with international sport for development charity, Right To Play, Nikon has teamed up with WDC to give readers the chance to win a Nikon D60 Kit and two tickets to the Right to Play gala evening on the 11th November 2008.
Nikon has teamed up with Right To Play, for a joint initiative that will see leading sportsmen and women capture their individual sporting experiences on camera in a bid to support the charity. For the past few months a host of world-class athlete ambassadors have been recording their unique experiences at major sporting events using Nikon digital SLR, including the UKs number one tennis star, Andy Murray, Olympic Gold medallist Tim Brabants, Britains best skier Chemmy Alcott, and also London Wasps and Samoas Dan Leo. The images will offer exclusive behind the scenes visual access to the rituals and routines of these athlete ambassadors giving people a unique glimpse into the life of a top level athlete.
The photographic project will ultimately help to raise the profile of the charity by offering this exclusive view into the lives of top athletes whose images will be exhibited for one week at the Ideas Generation gallery in London, starting Tuesday 4th Tuesday 11th November 2008. The images will then be auctioned off to raise money for the charity. Prints will be available to purchase soon at www.righttoplay.org.uk, so watch this space.
Right To Play uses specially-designed sport and play programmes to improve health, build life skills, and foster peace for children and communities affected by war, poverty, disease. Working in both the humanitarian and development contexts, Right To Play has projects in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
