Nikon D5000 standard battery.

How many shots do the D5000 usually get from the standard battery before dying? I'm not sure if my battery is an old one or a replacement. To be fair, I have been strolling through the menus quite a bit!

Don't know - depends if you use the live view, how often you use the menues, check the pictures etc.

Also depends on the condition of battery - how many charging cycles it has had and also the temperature. Cold days kill camera battery life.

I've bought a Duracell replacement so will let you know how it performs. (Done the checks for fakes, ie. sticker instead of laser etched) and it appears genuine.
