Nikon D5000--disabling the auto ISO

Someone said that when I switch to Manual in my new D5000, the auto ISO will stay active and that I will need to disable it if I want control of it. How does one do that?

I haven't used the D5000 but the auto ISO feature will work in either manual or auto focus modes on the other Nikons I have used. All you need to is go into the menu and enable/disable the auto ISO, the manual will tell you where it is.

I would think it is on the same menu option as the D90, which is under the 'Shooting Options menu'.

It is the second one down when you press the menu button, it has a picture of a camera
