Nikon D500 still good in 2025

having just bought a D500 I have to admit they still punch well above there weight in the age of mirrorless , this is taken with a tamron 70-300vr lens that cost me all of £105

Wildlife is not normally my "thing" but they look superb Jeff, particularly Flint Castle as a backdrop

As far as I am aware Nikon is still using the same sensor (albeit with an updated processing engine) in the fairly recently released Nikon Z50II.

My D500 has one significant limitation, the user. Like the other camera I bought in 2016 (K-1), I absolutely love it.

I bought mine in 2022, mainly because of the excellent AF performance.
