could anybody reccomend a good guide for the D50,
is the Nikon D50 Digital field guide any good?

I've got the Nikon D5000 guide by David Busch which is very good. He may do one for the d50 its worth doing a search.

Just checked and he does I think it's the one you have mentioned. If so its worth a go.

I have the Nikon D50 magic lantern guide by Simon Stafford which I have always found to be more useful than the manual. It was first issued in 2006 so out of print by now I would think, you could always try Amazon though for a second hand one. If I get the D90 I am hoping for you can have my copy.

Hi mark,

I wouldn't want anything for the book, but it depends on whether I get the D90, if not I would want to keep it obviously. I am setting up a meet with the gentleman selling the d90 and if all goes according to plan I will PM you to arrange collection of the book, assuming you haven't got one by then of course.
