Nikon D40 Lens

Could anyone tell me if a Nikon AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6G Lens would fit a Nikon D40?

I have found one (Link Below) at what seems a good price

It's a good lens, for the price... I had one for a long time... some shots were a bit soft, but it produced some good shots for me

It will only manual focus on your camera, as has been mentioned above.

I would also do a search on purely gadgets on here, before ordering

Yes it does , look at my signature.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago now and very please with the results .

I think that as i'm a newbie at DSLR & photography, it's a good way to learn using it.... only manual focus, but is making me take my time over shots.

I find using a tripod is better as i have not yet found the knack off holding the camera still.
