I don't really want to go down the DNG route partly because it means something else to learn
Nothing to learn it imports your files and converts them to DNG and you use the DNG same as your RAW files.

I have to argree, the DNG converter isn't like lightroom with lots of ajustments, it just makes a simple conversion, it's quick and simple to use, and better still free.
