Hi can someone tell me what type of cleaning fluid i need is it the eclipse or eclipse e2 can not remember which one thanks

that link is a bit old & the information is out of date regarding the use of E2 fluid.
hasn't that now been discontinued

great, another link to an out of date thread referencing a discontinued product

Huh? I just bought the "discontinued" product??

NOTE: E2 has been discontinued by Photographic Solutions. Eclipse has been re-formulated to contain one part per million (ppm) of contaminants making it the purest sensor cleaning fluid on the market. It is guaranteed to be safe to use on ALL sensors.

page that text came from here - http://www.copperhillimages.com/index.php?pr=Photographic_Solutions_Products

you're welcome :)

from doing a bit of googling it appears E2 was discontinued sometime around Autumn 2009. i'd say that makes referencing to it as a viable product as "out of date"

hope you got a good deal on that old stock :)

OP asked whether to use Eclipse or Eclipse E2.
TP-link says E2 is only for cameras without glass sensor cover, like 5D and 400D, and since OP has a Nikon D3, it should be clear, the recommended product is Eclipse.

That's the product I too (of course) bought. :D

The TP link is not outdated at all, but a perfectly fine guide for wetcleaning your sensor.

Btw. the ultimate cleaning guide with loads of tips must be http://www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com/index.html
