Dave many thanks for that ..and he says it was only about 5% of what he's got ..to say that im turning green is an understatement . brilliant cheers

Over £150K on the table and only 5%!!! That means his collection is worth around £3M!!!

Hope he's got decent security on his house now that he's broadcast to the world what he owns!!!!!

That is presuming that each 5% is worth £150k, which I doubt

should show the wife this...she already thinks I have too much camera gear and I only have 2 point'n'shoots and an eos 40d with two lenses!

Good linky there ... well worth a look for those of you who missed the programme ... ;)

I happened to see this too and my jaw dropped at the stunning and vast collection of Nikorrobilia that man had ...:eek::eek:

I find it hard to believe that little mountain was only 5% of his collection ... :suspect: ... surely he meant 50% ... ... or he is one sad collector who cannot possibly have the time to take photographs ... :D ... he must also live in a mansion the size of a couple of dozen footie pitches too in order to hold such a Nikomountain of gear ...

:p

I posted the link on another site and some one there said the following, which would explain the 5% part bit of his collection

"I actually know this man, His name is Peter Lownds, an Englishman who lives in the Netherlands (Rotterdam). He is the owner of a shop called "Quality Camera Shop", Besides the shop he also has a Nikon Museum nearby the shop."
