Managed to get this lens at Currys 20% off event (original price £364.79). Spoke to Currys hotline and only if there are5 in stock do you seem to be able to reserve online so you may have pot lock with a local store. I know Luton had 6 and Chingford now has 4 if that helps anyone. They did to try to charge £303 but explained that £364.79 - 20% does not equal £303!

Hope this helps someone.

James.

Dammit, your right, i over paid :o

E-mail the currys customer service its on the bill they are very good and will refund I'm sure. I got £15 back on a bag recently as a gift voucher.

£303 is what you get if you take the 20% VAT off, so I can see what they did there

If that's what they wanted to do they should have said VAT rather than 20% as parts of the site have the lens as £291.83 but yeh your right I bet that's what they really meant.

i just got mine, the 303 is because the system does not work with the cheaper web offer. it goes from the in store price, i just had to speak to 2 people to get mine. £291 dead on, well happy, its a monster though.

In that case, you should try the 70-200 2.8 coupled to the TC-20E III teleconverter. Now that's a monster.....! ;)
