Yes
So after consultation with the boss I have the Nikon 400mm f4.5 on the way, I needed a lighter walk around lens at my age 70+.
Have the 180-600mm but finding it a little bit to heavy hand holding for hours just hope the 400mm is as light and as good as people on YouTube say it is.
Would have liked the 400mm 2.8 with TC but the boss not that understanding :)
Russ.

I thought there was a rule
'tis better to ask forgiveness than ask permission ;)

Have fun with your new glass:)

I've been wanting the 600/4 TC, but I just can't justify it... not even as a business write off; I just wouldn't use it that often due to the size and weight.

The 400/4.5 is the only long Z telephoto option that is a weight savings over the 180-600. It is very nearly identical in IQ with the 1.4tc added (or cropped to the same FOV). And on the occasion where 400mm is long enough it's even better. It's a very good option and one I should probably consider; but I do like/use the zoom capability of the 180-600... hmm.

Hi, ordered mine from Panamoz , as a regular customer asked for best price and saved £629 on a UK well known dealers price.
I understand some people do not agree with buying from these companies but £629 is a lot of money.

I would probably buy used... that's about 33% less than new.
