Hi Guys, anyone using the 300PF with a 1.4x teleconverter? I'm thinking of using it for birds in flight with the D500, just wondered how the 1.4x tc affects the AF and the IQ.
Lee I have used this combination quite a bit (also with the 1.7), you will hardly notice the addition of the 1.4 and on a D500 you will get every possible help with AF & Tracking.
What Gramps said! I too have that combo and it is great, I also use the 300PF with the 2.0x Mk III and while not so good as the 1.4, it does produce acceptable results... Just! And only just!
