Nikon 18-105mm VR or 55-200 VR?

At the moment I only have a 35mm 1.8g prime and would like a zoom lens. I've narrowed it down to these two models.

Nikon 18-105mm VR
Nikon 55-200mm VR

Does anyone own these lens or have any experience with them?

i own the 55-200mm as my telephoto lens. if you want a walk-about lens, get the 18-105mm, it's got far more useful range than 55-200mm.

For not much more outlay, than the 18-105, you should be able to get both the 18-55 vr and 55-200 vr. Problem solved

Hi

I have the 55-200 and love the results from it. Not used the 18-105 but as above if you need one for everything get the 18-105 otherwise get the 55-200VR.
